Churchyard
St Mary's churchyard is a haven of
tranquillity where generations of Send people are buried.
It is cared for by volunteers who go at 10 a.m. every Tuesday (weather
permitting), throughout the year.
They are helped by a team of grass mowers during the spring and summer.
Efforts are made to care for the memorials which can no longer be
maintained by surviving family members,
and to fill rabbit holes, level mole hills, clear autumn leaves and
generally care for the land around the church.
